Chelsea Stone

Chelsea Stone is a law clerk for We Care Legal Services. She is a first year law student, with goals of becoming a family lawyer. Once she passes the bar, we hope she stays in our firm. She is fluent in Spanish and is available to work with our Hispanic clientele. She is also fluent in Tagalog so she can assist our Filipino clients. Chelsea graduated in 2019 from Saint Joseph’s University with honors in International Relations and Spanish with minors in Latin American Studies and History. She was inducted into Sigma Iota Rho (International Relations), Phi Alpha Theta (History), and Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish) honor societies. Before graduating college, she volunteered and interned for several non-profits helping individuals in the Latin American community in Philadelphia. Coming from a Filipino-African American background, she strongly believes in listening and advocating for those whose voices need to be heard. Through her work opportunities, she acquired skills in empathizing with individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, communicating with children and adults dealing with trauma, and engaging with Spanish-speakers.

Through family law, Chelsea combines her passion for helping others with her interest in law so that she can guide our clients through their difficult, personal legal situations while offering an open-ear to help them through their times of stress. Since joining our firm, she has been especially comforting victims of domestic violence and individuals going through child custody litigation.

Like everyone else in our firm, Chelsea is an animal lover. On occasion, she will bring her little rescue dog, Polly, to the office. Our clients love Polly and she adds to the comfort of our office.
